Action Replay is the category for ROMs based on Action Replay code, Images, Manuals, Extensions, related media, etc.

Action Replay (article) explains things in detail.

Extensions has the Parameter Extensions, Action Replay RAM/ROM using programs and the original Datel Replay supplies.

Extension Programming plans to become the style guide for writing own Action and Retro Replay add ons.

Parameters(explained), the complete Parameters List and Parameter Creation aim at enlighten the masses about those Parameters.

Action Replay Hardware contains the rest and may resolve remaining related questions.

The Action Replay 4.1 and later versions have at least 32kb ROM and 8kb RAM which means that the things offered here will likely work for AR v4+. The pre-4.1 ROMs (carrying MK on their name) of course can be used on an emulator or with appropriate circuit boards.
